Make this print opens the generator on a 650 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Retain the small roof features

The broad roof carries raised circular features, fine ribs, and narrow details along its edges. Choose Print friendly to adapt the small parts to the print scale, or use Full detail for a larger print or fine nozzle.

  2. Define the shallow roof steps

Use 0.12–0.16 mm layers to keep the shallow roof steps and raised circular details crisp. Increasing the print size also helps retain the fine roof lines.

  3. One piece with the ground

The Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie

The Cité is a science museum in Paris's Parc de la Villette. President Giscard d'Estaing initiated its creation to make scientific and technical knowledge accessible, with particular emphasis on young people and public interest in research and industry. Its attractions range from a planetarium and aquarium to the submarine Argonaute and La Géode's IMAX theater. Children and teenagers have dedicated areas, and the museum also includes a library devoted to science and industry. These facilities serve its broader mission of promoting scientific culture.

The museum incorporates steel trusses from an abattoir sales hall whose construction stopped in 1973. Architect Adrien Fainsilber worked with the engineering firm Rice Francis Ritchie on the conversion, commissioned on September 15, 1980. François Mitterrand inaugurated it on March 13, 1986, on the occasion of the Giotto probe's encounter with Halley's Comet. On the facade facing the park, Les Serres consists of three greenhouse spaces, each 32 meters high, 32 meters wide, and 8 meters deep. Their facades were the first structural glass walls built without framing or supporting fins.
