Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Print the tower tall

Tall towers lose their crisp edges first when printed small. Print it larger, or set Landmark detail to Full detail to keep the modeled edges, with 0.12–0.16 mm layers for the vertical faces.

  2. One piece with the ground

The City-Hochhaus Leipzig is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The City-Hochhaus Leipzig takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the City-Hochhaus Leipzig

The City-Hochhaus rises 36 stories in Leipzig, Germany, beside the eastern stretch of Leipzig's inner city ring road, in the Mitte district. Its 142.5 m (468 ft) make it Leipzig's tallest multistory building. Hermann Henselmann designed the tower to look like an open book, and construction ran from 1968 to 1972. The design followed Henselmann's idea of capping central places with a prominent tower, as at the Jen-Tower in Jena and the Fernsehturm in Berlin.

It originally formed part of the University of Leipzig's Augustusplatz campus. Between 1999 and 2002 a full renovation stripped off its aluminum cladding and put gray granite in its place. There is a restaurant inside, and stairs run from that level up to an open viewing deck on the 31st floor, 120 m (390 ft) above the ground.

Locals nicknamed it Weisheitszahn, or wisdom tooth, for its shape, and Uniriese, or university giant, for its old role. The height and the central site open a panorama over the whole city, and clear air carries the view well past the Leipzig area. The deck is a popular destination for visitors.
