  1. A tall church at small scale

At the default print size the church is a small part of the city scene. Print friendly keeps narrow parts printable; a larger print and a 0.12–0.16 mm layer height preserve fine edges.

  2. One piece with the ground

The St. Nicholas Church, Leipzig is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The St. Nicholas Church, Leipzig takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the St. Nicholas Church, Leipzig

St. Nicholas Church, known in German as the Nikolaikirche, is one of the main churches in central Leipzig, Germany, in the district of Mitte. Construction began in the Romanesque style in 1165. In the sixteenth century it became a Gothic hall church, and Baroque features, among them the tower, arrived in the 18th century. The main tower, in Baroque style, dates from 1730, and the portal from 1759. By capacity, it ranks among Saxony's largest churches.

Several works by Johann Sebastian Bach premiered here in the 18th century. Bach led the music at both the Thomaskirche and the Nikolaikirche between 1723 and 1750. Four of the five performances of his St John Passion, including the premiere, took place in the church. Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz was baptized here on July 3, 1646. From 1784 to 1797 the architect Johann Carl Friedrich Dauthe remodeled the interior in the Neoclassical style. It has served as a Protestant seat since 1539.

St. Nicholas rose to national fame in 1989, when the Monday Demonstrations made it the center of a peaceful revolt against communist rule. From 1989 to 1991 people gathered there on Monday evenings. Friedrich Ladegast built the organ in 1862 with four manuals and 84 stops, and Eule Orgelbau restored it in 2004.
