About the Clark County Government Center

The Clark County Government Center in downtown Las Vegas, Nevada, is the seat of government for Clark County. Both the Clark County Commission and its appointed county executive have their chambers and offices in the complex, and most county services, among them the clerk, recorder and assessor, are headquartered there.

Fentress Bradburn designed the complex, which covers 350,000 square feet (33,000 m2) and opened in 1995. The parts include a six-story administration building for the county, three single-story buildings that house the commissioners' chambers, a central plant and a multipurpose community facility. A cylindrical reception hall of six stories, a pyramid-shaped cafeteria and a single-story auditorium are among the other buildings.

The layout centers on a courtyard with a shaded pedestrian walkway, and a shaded circular arcade adds to the round shapes of the buildings. Three rows of trees, aligned radially with the columns, frame a sloped lawn amphitheater. The amphitheater covers an acre and a half and is 280 feet (85 m) in diameter. Before the center, the Union Pacific railroad ran a maintenance hub on the site.

How it prints

Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

Circular arcade and pyramid
The thin circular arcade around the courtyard and the sharp point of the pyramid are the delicate parts. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale; Full detail keeps them at larger sizes and a finer layer height.
One piece with the ground
The Clark County Government Center is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Clark County Government Center takes the building color.
File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
