Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. A small building among many

The college is a single modest building rather than a landmark tower, so it takes up little of the printed scene. A larger print size helps it stand apart from the blocks around it.

  2. Layers for straight walls

The shape is carried by the walls and roofline rather than fine detail. Layers of 0.12–0.16 mm keep those edges clean, and Print friendly adapts the smallest parts.

  3. One piece with the ground

The College of Arms is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The College of Arms takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the College of Arms

The College of Arms, also called the Heralds' College, is the authority for heraldry in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and some Commonwealth realms; Scotland falls outside its jurisdiction, to the Court of the Lord Lyon. It is a royal corporation staffed by professional officers of arms, who act for the Crown, granting new coats of arms, tracing genealogies, recording pedigrees, keeping the official registers of flags, and planning ceremonies such as coronations, state funerals and the State Opening of Parliament.

King Richard III gave the College its royal charter in 1484, and the charter, dated March 2, 1484, made the heralds a body corporate with a succession meant to run unbroken. It has stayed in the City of London from the start, and on Queen Victoria Street since 1555, when Mary I and her husband Philip II of Spain granted it Derby House; the new charter is dated July 18, 1555. Thomas Stanley, first Earl of Derby, had built that house in 1503.

Thirteen officers, appointed by the monarch, carry out the work: three Kings of Arms, four Pursuivants of Arms and six Heralds of Arms, joined by seven officers extraordinary who appear at ceremonies but are not members of the college. The Earl Marshal oversees the whole corporation; his is a hereditary post, always filled by the Duke of Norfolk.
