5 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Four slender columns
The four tall columns on the front are the slimmest parts. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale; use Full detail at larger sizes and a 0.12–0.16 mm layer height to keep them crisp.
- One piece with the ground
The Danforth Memorial Library is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Danforth Memorial Library takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Danforth Memorial Library
The Danforth Memorial Library, also called the Paterson Free Public Library, stands at 250 Broadway in Paterson, New Jersey. The building welcomed its first visitors on May 1, 1905. The city's free public library dates from 1885 and is described as New Jersey's oldest public library. The 1902 Great Fire wiped out the first two libraries, and some 40,000 books from the original Danforth Library were lost.
The architecture is described as Classical Revival. The two-story building has four monumental gray limestone columns on a granite foundation. Henry Bacon, designer of the Lincoln Memorial, was its architect. The frieze, which runs around the whole building, is carved with the names of 33 famous classical works. The library also holds the city's art collection, largely 19th century paintings given to the city.
Mary Elizabeth Danforth Ryle funded the building as a memorial to her father, Charles Danforth, a leading Paterson industrialist, on two conditions: that it be used only for Paterson's free public library and that it carry the name Danforth. She died in 1904, before construction was complete. The cornerstone was laid in October 1903, and the building cost $220,000 with its furnishings. A bronze tablet by sculptor Evelyn Beatrice Longman commemorates her. Its National Register of Historic Places listing came on March 1, 1984.
