14 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Tall front, small parts
The church's tall front carries fine vertical detail. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep those lines crisp, and a larger print preserves more of them.
- One piece with the ground
De Krijtberg is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. De Krijtberg takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About De Krijtberg
De Krijtberg is a Roman Catholic church at the Singel in Amsterdam. Alfred Tepe designed it, and it opened in 1883, with an exuberant interior by Friedrich Wilhelm Mengelberg. The church's dedication is to St Francis Xavier; it serves as one of the rectorates in St Nicholas Roman Catholic parish, and it is recognized by its two pointed towers.
A Jesuit church has stood at this location since 1654. A clandestine church gave way to another church in 1677, and the present Neo-Gothic church rose on the same spot in 1881. Tight space led Tepe to make the church unusually tall, with a monumental front. The church is also a pilgrimage site.
Inside, the Guild of St. Bernulphus fitted out the interior, most notably the Mengelberg firm, and most of it has survived. Services are held in a variety of styles. Next to the church stands Ignatius House, a spirituality and cultural center of the Society of Jesus that was founded in 1985.
