34 m of the Drum Tower of Xi'an, 10 mm on your shelf
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Three roof tiers
The model has three swept roof tiers above a broad brick platform. Print friendly adapts the thin eaves and bracket layers; Full detail keeps them for a larger print or fine nozzle.
- Drum row and arch
A row of small drums sits on the first-floor terrace above a real arched passage. Layers of 0.12–0.16 mm keep both crisp, and printing slowly helps the overhanging eaves.
- One piece with the ground
The Drum Tower of Xi'an is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Drum Tower of Xi'an takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Drum Tower of Xi'an
The Drum Tower of Xi'an rises at the center of Xi'an, Shaanxi's capital in northwestern China. Together with the Bell Tower, it is a symbol of the city. It dates from 1380, in the early Ming Dynasty's Hongwu era, and stands in a mostly Muslim quarter called the Drum Tower Muslim District.
The tower takes its name from the huge drum inside. For centuries it has marked the hours alongside the Bell Tower, with bells for morning and drums for evening. Its outer terrace holds 24 small drums, set on both the north and south sides and inscribed with characters for the 24 Solar Terms. The solar terms come from the traditional Chinese lunisolar calendar. The hall also houses the Wentian Drum on the north side, a large cowhide drum made in 1996 and claimed at the time to be the world's largest cowhide drum; the drums are played in a daily bell and drum symphony.
