Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Dense carved brick patterns

Bands of tight checks, chevrons and flowers wrap the tower. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm keeps this fine relief crisp, and a larger print keeps more of it.

  2. Slim top and finial

The tower narrows to a small rounded crown with a short finial. Print friendly adapts thin parts like this to your print scale; print slowly so the tapering top stays steady.

  3. One piece with the ground

The Emin Minaret is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Emin Minaret takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Emin Minaret

Beside the Uyghur mosque at Turfan, in Xinjiang, China, rises the Emin Minaret, also known as the Emin Tower. Its height of 44 meters (144 ft) makes it China's tallest minaret, and it is regarded as the best-known Islamic monument of the county. Construction started in 1777 under the Qianlong Emperor and finished a year after that. Local leaders financed it, and it honors the deeds of Emin Khoja, a general from Turpan, whose name it carries.

Local craftsmen used local materials, giving the tower a structure of wood and brick. The round tower tapers from a base more than 14 meters (46 feet) across to just 2.8 meters across at the summit. The outer face is sun-dried yellow brick shaped into repeating geometric and floral designs, including rhombus and flower motifs. Long narrow slits face various directions at varied heights, and inside, a spiral support carries a winding staircase of 72 steps to the top.

The tower marks the southeast corner of the mosque; the Uyghur Mosque itself is rectangular, with a small inner hall for the cold season and bigger outer halls for the warm season. The site is close to Gaochang, the old Uyghur capital, along the Silk Route. The mixture of Chinese and Islamic features in its design is found only in minarets in China.
