Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Tall columns on the front

A row of tall, slim columns carries a pediment over the entrance. Full detail keeps every column on a large print; Print friendly thickens them for small sizes.

  2. Rooftop skylights

Six low, stepped skylights sit on the flat roof, plus a thin flagpole at one end. A larger print or slower speed helps the pole and the roof edges.

  3. One piece with the ground

The Essex County Courthouse is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Essex County Courthouse takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Essex County Courthouse

The Essex County Courthouse stands in the county's government complex in Newark, New Jersey. Cass Gilbert designed it, and it was built in 1904 in the Renaissance Revival style. On June 26, 1975, it joined the National Register of Historic Places, a listing that recognizes its importance in art and architecture.

Inside, a four-story rotunda is capped by a Tiffany skylight, and the building features artwork by leading artists from the American Renaissance period, among them Gutzon Borglum's Seated Lincoln. The main facade, outside, is adorned with nine sculptures by the Piccirilli Brothers.
