Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Tall, narrow shaft

The building rises as a tall, narrow block with a rooftop box. Print slowly with good cooling, and use a larger print size so the upper floors keep their detail.

  2. Arched windows and cornice

Rows of arched windows and a projecting cornice crown the top. Full detail keeps them crisp at larger sizes; a layer height of 0.12-0.16 mm helps.

  3. One piece with the ground

The First National State Bank Building is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The First National State Bank Building takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the First National State Bank Building

Also called the Indigo Residence, the First National State Bank Building stands on Broad Street in Newark, New Jersey (number 810). Cass Gilbert designed it, and it was built in 1912. It reaches 165 ft (50 m), with twelve stories on a steel frame, and its facade is applied masonry. The National Register of Historic Places listing came on August 10, 1977.

For many years the ground floor held a series of retail businesses while the upper floors stood abandoned. Hanini Developers renovated the building and converted it into a Hotel Indigo, which opened in August 2014. Baldwin Equities bought the hotel and building in 2021 and later converted it into an apartment complex named Indigo Residence.
