3 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Chimneys and small side wing
The chimneys and the small side wing are the smallest parts of this house-sized model. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale; Full detail keeps them at larger print sizes.
- One piece with the ground
The Franklin Inn is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Franklin Inn takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Franklin Inn
East Millstone, New Jersey, is home to the Franklin Inn, also called the Franklin Inn-Van Liew Homestead, on Amwell Road (Route 514) at number 2371. Cornelius Van Liew built its oldest portion as a farmhouse in 1752. In the years after the American Revolutionary War, people called it the Annie Van Liew house, for Cornelius's daughter, who won a lawsuit against the British government over damage and loss to her property during the war.
Charles Cornwallis took over the house in June 1777 and made it his headquarters for five days. Nearby, several thousand British troops camped, in the area that is today the Colonial Park Arboretum and Gardens, and American Revolutionary generals also held meetings in the house during the war.
The Van Liew family held the property until it was sold to John Wyckoff in 1822. A tavern operated there starting in 1829, after the old farmhouse was converted into a tavern and inn. The tavern closed in 1916 with prohibition. A popular used bookstore operated in the building from 1992 until 2009, when it closed because repeated floods from the Delaware & Raritan Canal and from the Millstone River had damaged it.
