12 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Castle roofs and small openings
A castle of this kind carries steep roofs and small window openings that soften at small print sizes. Print larger for the roof edges, or use Full detail with 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers.
- One piece with the ground
Franzensburg is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Franzensburg takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Franzensburg
Franzensburg is a castle in Laxenburg, Lower Austria, and the best-known building in Laxenburg's Castles Park. It occupies an artificial island in the castle pond. Emperor Francis II had this copy of a medieval knights' castle built, and the design is counted a masterpiece of romantic classicism, built in the Neo-gothic style.
Magnificent extensions were added to the castle up to 1835, including an outer courtyard and a gallery of ancestors in the form of sandstone busts. Purchases and donations furnished the rooms with coffered ceilings, marble floors and leather hangings and much more besides, and the furnishings are regarded as the Austrian treasure-house.
Francis II, the last Holy Roman Emperor, died in 1835, and the castle was named in his memory. It occupies an artificial island at the center of the castle pond, within the Laxenburg Castles Park in Lower Austria, and serves as a museum, with the park and water around it.
