6 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Small ribbed dome
A small ribbed dome rises above the roofs. Print friendly adapts small curved details like this to your print scale; Full detail keeps them, best on a larger print with 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers.
- Low, compact building
The museum is low and compact among its neighbors, so a larger print keeps its roof lines and courtyards easier to read.
- One piece with the ground
The Galleria dell'Accademia is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Galleria dell'Accademia takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Galleria dell'Accademia
The Galleria dell'Accademia di Firenze, whose name means the gallery of Florence's academy, is a museum of art located in Tuscany, in central Italy, in the city of Florence. Its holdings include Michelangelo's David and other works of his sculpture, plus many paintings by Florentine artists, mostly dated between 1300 and 1600. It is smaller and more specialized than the Uffizi, which is Florence's main art museum. Next door is the Accademia di Belle Arti, Florence's academy of fine arts, though despite the shared name the two are otherwise unconnected.
Pietro Leopoldo, Grand Duke of Tuscany, founded the gallery in 1784. Michelangelo's original David has stood there since 1873, reportedly brought in for conservation, though other factors played a part in its move from the open-air spot it occupied on Piazza della Signoria. The initial aim was a Michelangelo museum with his original sculptures and drawings, marking four hundred years since the artist was born.
The small Michelangelo collection also has four unfinished Prisoners that were meant for Pope Julius II's tomb, and an unfinished statue of Saint Matthew. Other works include Florentine paintings by Sandro Botticelli, Paolo Uccello, Domenico Ghirlandaio and Andrea del Sarto, and Giambologna's original plaster model, at full size, of the Rape of the Sabine Women. The gallery also holds Russian icons gathered by the House of Lorraine's Grand Dukes, and a collection of musical instruments that opened in 2001.
