Gedung Sate in 3D
The landmark on its own, at its size on a 160 mm print. Print friendly thickens thin parts for a 0.4 mm nozzle; Full detail keeps every part.

10 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Stepped central tower
The middle block rises in tiers to a thin pinnacle. Print friendly adapts the pinnacle and the small details of the tiers to the print scale; Full detail keeps them on a larger print.
- Arcades along the wings
Rows of small arches line the lower walls of the long wings. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm and a bigger print size keep the arches readable.
- One piece with the ground
Gedung Sate is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Gedung Sate takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Gedung Sate
Gedung Sate stands in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia, and is a public building. The Dutch architect J. Gerber designed it in a neoclassical style that blends in local Indonesian elements, for example Hindu-Buddhist ones. It was meant to be the headquarters of the State Owned Enterprises department of the Dutch East Indies, known as the Departement van Gouvernmentsbedrijven, which translates as "Department of Government Industries". It was completed in 1924 and has three floors above ground.
The name Gedung Sate is a nickname meaning "satay building" in Indonesian. It refers to the central pinnacle, whose shape recalls satay, a traditional Indonesian dish. The pinnacle consists of six spheres, which stand for the six million guilders funded for the construction. It is the governor of West Java's seat of office, and it doubles as a museum.
