About Grand Lisboa

Grand Lisboa is a hotel tower of 47 floors that rises 261 m (856 ft) in Macau's Sé area. It belongs to Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, which also operates it. Dennis Lau and Ng Chun Man, architects from Hong Kong, designed the building, and the interiors came from Khuan Chew of KCA International, its Design Principal. No other building in Macau is taller, and it forms the most distinctive part of the skyline.

The casino and restaurants opened on February 11, 2007, and the hotel followed in December 2008. The hotel has 430 rooms and suites. Macau's first Texas hold 'em poker ring games were offered at this casino. The Star of Stanley Ho, a 218.08-carat (43.616 g) diamond, is displayed in the casino. By the assessment of the Gemological Institute of America, no other diamond that is cushion shaped, internally flawless and D color is larger.

The hotel restaurant Robuchon au Dôme, owned by Joël Robuchon, who joined the group in 2007, received three stars from the Michelin Guide in 2008, under its earlier name Robuchon a Galera. The photograph The Invasion by Paul Tsui, a nominee for National Geographic's Travel Photographer of the Year award, shows a sideways view of the hotel through a street lined with tall buildings, and some have said it resembles an alien invasion.

How it prints

Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

Landmark height and scale at three print sizes
Print size Landmark height Scale
160 mm default 73 mm 1:3,750
200 mm 91 mm 1:3,000
256 mm 116 mm 1:2,344

Flared crown on a slim waist
The tower narrows to a slim waist, then flares outward into a wide crown. Print slowly with good cooling, and use layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm to keep the flared edges crisp.
Ball-shaped base and tiny spike
A ball-shaped base sits at the foot of the tower, and a small spike tops the crown. Print friendly adapts the thin spike to your print scale; Full detail keeps it, best on a larger print.
One piece with the ground
Grand Lisboa is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Grand Lisboa takes the building color.
File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About this model

Grand Lisboa is one of more than 2,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.

Common questions

Is there a Grand Lisboa STL I can download?

Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.

How big can I print it?

Any print size from 40 mm across. Grand Lisboa grows with the print: about 73 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.

Is it free?

Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
