About the Macau Tower
Known formally as Macau Tower Convention and Entertainment Center, the Macau Tower stands in Sé, Macau, and rises 338 m (1,109 ft) from ground level to its highest point. Visitors find restaurants, theaters, shopping malls and views at its observation deck, along with the Skywalk X, a tour on foot around the outer rim. Moller Architects created the tower, which belongs to the World Federation of Great Towers and also serves for telecommunications and broadcasting. Together with the Grand Lisboa hotel, it is said to make up Macau's most recognizable skyline landmarks.
Stanley Ho Hung-Sun, a casino billionaire from Macau, admired the Sky Tower in Auckland, New Zealand, during a visit and commissioned a similar tower for Macau. Gordon Moller designed it, and the New Zealand firm Beca Group engineered it. Construction started in 1998, and the tower officially opened on December 19, 2001. It cost US$130 million to build.
Its bungee jump and tethered skyjump, at 233 m (764 ft) up the outer rim, is billed as the world's highest commercial skyjump. On December 17, 2006, the tower saw A J Hackett and Edison Chen break two Guinness World Records. The tower's construction was part of the Nam Van land reclamation project, a US$1 billion scheme that reshaped the Praia Grande neighborhood, adding 130 hectares of land and making the Macau peninsula 20 percent larger.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
| Print size | Landmark height | Scale |
|---|---|---|
| 160 mm default | 91 mm | 1:3,750 |
| 200 mm | 113 mm | 1:3,000 |
| 256 mm | 145 mm | 1:2,344 |

- Thin mast and antenna
- A lattice mast and a fine antenna rise above the pod near the top. Print slowly with good cooling, and use Print friendly to adapt these thin parts to the print scale.
- Slim shaft with a pod
- The slim shaft flares at the base and swells into a pod near the top. Layers of 0.12–0.16 mm keep the shaft lines and the curve of the pod clean.
- One piece with the ground
- The Macau Tower is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Macau Tower takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About this model
The Macau Tower is one of more than 2,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
Common questions
Is there a Macau Tower STL I can download?
Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How big can I print it?
Any print size from 40 mm across. The Macau Tower grows with the print: about 91 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
Is it free?
Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
