Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Twin towers on the facade

The front has twin bell towers, which are among the slimmest parts. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale; a larger print or Full detail keeps more of their shape, and slow printing with good cooling helps.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Hanging Church is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Hanging Church takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Hanging Church

The Hanging Church is a Coptic Orthodox church dedicated to the Virgin Mary, in Coptic Cairo (Old Cairo). It counts among the oldest churches in Egypt and is part of the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria. The church is named for sitting on top of a gatehouse belonging to Babylon Fortress, the Roman stronghold there, and its nave hangs over a passage. It is Cairo's most famous Coptic Christian church.

Twenty-nine steps lead up to the church, and early travelers to Cairo nicknamed it "the Staircase Church". The ground level has risen by roughly six meters since Roman times, which leaves the Roman tower mostly buried. From the street, visitors pass iron gates set beneath a pointed stone arch. A narrow courtyard leads to the facade, which dates from the nineteenth century and has twin bell towers; an eleventh-century outer porch lies farther up the steps.

The principal church has a basilica plan inside a rectangular outer wall, with three apses and a nave flanked by three aisles. It also has sanctuaries for Saint John the Baptist and Saint George. Of its 110 icons, the oldest dates to the 8th century, though most were made in the 18th. In the eleventh century the church became the home of the Coptic patriarchate, which had earlier been based in Alexandria.

About this model

The Hanging Church is one of more than 5,500 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Each model is written as code from public descriptions, plans, photographs and aerial views used only as references; no image or third-party model is copied into it. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. Rights in the building itself, its name and any brands on it are not granted by Mini Skyline; clear them separately before you sell prints. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
