9 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 650 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Rounded triangular plan
The plan is a triangle with three concave sides, so the corners and long curved walls are thin at the edges. Print friendly adapts the outline; Full detail keeps it for a large print.
- Hexagonal rooflights
Small clustered hexagonal rooflights sit on the shallow roof. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm and a larger print keep their facets and frames crisp.
- One piece with the ground
The Heydar Aliyev International Airport Terminal 1 is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Heydar Aliyev International Airport Terminal 1 takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Heydar Aliyev International Airport Terminal 1
Terminal 1 of Heydar Aliyev International Airport serves Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, in the city's Khazar district. Also called the international terminal, it opened in 2014. The grand four-story building, which can handle 6,000,000 passengers a year, covers 65 000 square meters.
The architectural concept came from ARUP, and Autoban designed the interiors. Buro Happold provided structural and MEP engineering, and MAPA was the main contractor. The interior includes custom-made wooden cocoons, while a fully glazed, inclined facade gives the building its distinctive appearance.
The terminal's plan is a triangle with rounded corners. A semi-transparent roof covers the building, and the glass wall is inclined rather than vertical. The glazed envelope follows the rounded triangular plan, and the building opened on April 23, 2014 as the airport's international terminal.
