About Hyatt Regency Phoenix

Downtown Phoenix, Arizona, is home to the Hyatt Regency Phoenix, a convention hotel finished in 1976. Its 24 floors reach 97 m (317 ft), and a revolving restaurant crowns the top floor. Charles Luckman and Associates designed it to complement Phoenix Civic Plaza and Phoenix Symphony Hall, and Chanen Construction Company built it. Textured split ribbed concrete block clads the facade.

The lobby and restaurants fill the main level, while the second floor holds meeting rooms and another restaurant beneath an atrium that rises 8 stories. Guest rooms occupy floors 9 through 21, mechanical equipment fills floors 22 and 23, and the Compass Restaurant sits on floor 24. Three scenic elevators rise from the lobby through the atrium and out along the building's exterior, with views over downtown Phoenix and toward Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

Facilities include 693 guest rooms, two restaurants, a market, a swimming pool, a retail shop and 3,900 m2 (42,000 sq ft) of meeting space. Two enclosed guest elevators serve the building as well. The NFL picked it as its headquarters hotel for Super Bowl XLII, held in February 2008 in nearby Glendale.

How it prints

Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

Round restaurant on a slim shaft
A round restaurant disc sits on a slim shaft above the roof. Print friendly adapts thin parts to the print scale; Full detail keeps them, and printing slowly helps the thin shaft.
Horizontal ribs on broad walls
Fine horizontal lines run across the broad walls. A bigger print size keeps more of them, and layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep the lines crisp.
One piece with the ground
Hyatt Regency Phoenix is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Hyatt Regency Phoenix takes the building color.
File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About this model

Hyatt Regency Phoenix is one of more than 2,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.

Common questions

Is there a Hyatt Regency Phoenix STL I can download?

Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.

How big can I print it?

Any print size from 40 mm across. Hyatt Regency Phoenix grows with the print: about 26 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.

Is it free?

Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
