12 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Small print, fine church detail
The church stands small in the default print's wider scene. Print friendly adapts fine details to the print scale; a larger print and a 0.12–0.16 mm layer height keep its edges crisp.
- One piece with the ground
The Kirche am Steinhof is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Kirche am Steinhof takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Kirche am Steinhof
Kirche am Steinhof is also known as the Church of St. Leopold. It is the Roman Catholic oratory serving the Otto-Wagner-Spital, in Vienna's Steinhof area, Austria. Otto Wagner designed the building, which is regarded as one of the world's most important Art Nouveau churches. It stands on the Baumgartnerhöhe hillside below the Galitzinberg, in Penzing, the city's 14th district, and forms part of the Steinhof hospital grounds.
Built for the hospital, the church was dedicated to Saint Leopold. Its mosaics and stained glass are by Koloman Moser, and its sculptural angels are by Othmar Schimkowitz. Wagner shaped the interior around patients' needs. Sharp edges are rare and most corners are rounded, crosses are almost absent, and the pulpit can only be entered from the vestry. The pews were originally made in different widths for calm, restless and disturbed patients, and the floor is raked toward the altar as in a theater. It holds 800 people when full.
The two external towers carry statues of Saint Leopold and Saint Severin, the patron saints of Lower Austria, by the sculptor Richard Luksch. The church was opened on October 8, 1907, by Archduke Franz Ferdinand. A restoration that began in June 2000 re-gilded the exterior dome with gold leaf and renewed its copper base. Between 2002 and 2004 the facade was replaced with plates of Carrara marble. The windows were valued at 5 million Euro.
