Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Slow print for a tall tower

This is a very tall, slender model, so print slowly with steady cooling and keep the speed down near the top to avoid a wobbly shaft.

  2. Full detail for the spire

The upper floors and the spire are the finest part of the print; use Full detail, a larger print size and 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers to keep them sharp.

  3. One piece with the ground

The Lakhta Center is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Lakhta Center takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Lakhta Center

The Lakhta Center stands in the Lakhta neighborhood of Saint Petersburg, Russia. Its 87 floors rise to 462 meters (1,516 ft), making it Russia's and Europe's tallest building, with the Ostankino Tower in Moscow ahead of it among the continent's structures. It is also the world's northernmost skyscraper and its second-tallest twisted building.

Construction began on October 30, 2012, and the tower topped out on January 29, 2018. On October 5, 2017 it overtook Moscow's Vostok Tower to stand taller than any other building in Russia or Europe. RMJM, a British practice, designed the project first; Gorproject then carried it on from 2011 to 2017, with Rönesans Holding of Turkey as the main contractor.

The complex mixes public facilities with offices and holds a sports center, a co-working center, a conference center and a science center for children. An observation deck 357 meters (1,171 ft) up the tower is open to the public. Because the local climate is humid and windy, metal gauze replaces glass at the spire to prevent it from icing up completely, and the building earned LEED Platinum certification on December 24, 2018.
