Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Tall block on a broad base

The cathedral takes up most of a large site and rises steeply from it, so the model's height is where the shape reads. A bigger print gives the corners of the plan and the roofline more room.

  2. Crisp vertical edges

Long straight walls meet at sharp corners on this model; layers of 0.12–0.16 mm keep those edges clean, and a slower print helps the upper part.

  3. One piece with the ground

The Saint Isaac's Cathedral is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Saint Isaac's Cathedral takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Saint Isaac's Cathedral

Saint Isaac's Cathedral stands on Saint Isaac's Square in Saint Petersburg, Russia, and is named for Saint Isaac of Dalmatia, one of Peter the Great's patron saints; Peter was born on that saint's feast day. Built as a cathedral, it became a museum in 1931 under Soviet rule and has stayed one since, while a side chapel has hosted services since the 1990s.

Auguste de Montferrand's design replaced an earlier church by Vincenzo Brenna and became the fourth church to stand on the site. The building took 40 years, from 1818 to 1858. Piles were driven into the fenland beneath the city to secure it, and new methods were devised to raise the giant columns of the porticos. The work cost 1,000,000 gold rubles.

Its gilded main dome rises 101.5 m (333 ft) on a cast iron frame, and the space beneath it is 69 m high from the floor to the oculus, ranking among the world's tallest domes. Twelve angel statues by Josef Hermann, each six meters tall, decorate the dome. Outside, gray and pink stone faces the walls, and 112 red granite columns carry Corinthian capitals, every shaft cut and set in one piece.
