About the Historic Fifth Street School (Las Vegas Grammar School)
The National Register of Historic Places lists the Las Vegas Grammar School, also called the Historic Fifth Street School. Its address is 401 South Fourth Street, in the downtown area of Las Vegas, Nevada, on a site of 20 acres (8.1 ha) off Las Vegas Boulevard. The building was added to the register on May 20, 1988.
The school was constructed in 1936. It replaced the earlier Clark County High School, in use from 1917 to 1934, which was destroyed by fire. It opened as the Las Vegas Grammar School; people informally called it Fifth Street School back when Las Vegas Boulevard still went by Fifth Street. It remained in use until 1966. A $9.5 million renovation later reworked the building extensively, and the interior was arranged so that it could serve again as an education facility.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

- Long covered walkways
- Long walkways with slim posts connect the school's wings. Print friendly adapts the thin posts to the print scale; Full detail keeps them, which suits a larger print.
- Low and wide
- The model is low and wide, so a larger print shows the roof details best. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep them crisp.
- One piece with the ground
- The Historic Fifth Street School (Las Vegas Grammar School) is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Historic Fifth Street School (Las Vegas Grammar School) takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
