Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Clock tower and crown

The central tower ends in an open crown above the clock faces, with a thin vane. At small sizes use Print friendly so these slender parts adapt; a larger print keeps the crown and vane clearer.

  2. Open colonnade and fanlights

Eight entrance gables carry semicircular fanlights, and slim cast-iron columns ring the open hall. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm help keep the fanlight spokes and column capitals crisp.

  3. One piece with the ground

Lau Pa Sat is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Lau Pa Sat takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About Lau Pa Sat

Lau Pa Sat is a historic building in the Downtown Core of Singapore's Central Area. It started in 1824 as a waterfront fish market for early colonial Singapore, was rebuilt in 1838, and was moved and rebuilt on its present site in 1894. It serves as a hawker center, with stalls offering many kinds of local food.

It is among South-East Asia's oldest Victorian structures, and among the first buildings in Asia made with pre-fabricated cast iron. It is also the only market still left that served the residents of the central district in Singapore's early years.

James MacRitchie, the municipal engineer, designed the present building, which covers 55,000 square feet (5,100 square meters). He kept the octagonal outline of George Drumgoole Coleman's earlier design. Cast-iron pillars support the structure; the ironwork was shipped from Glasgow and cost £13,200. The building became a national monument on June 28, 1973.
