About Singapore

Singapore, an island country in Southeast Asia, consists of a main island, more than 60 satellite islands and islets, and a single outlying islet. It sits north of the equator by about one degree of latitude, or 137 kilometers (85 miles), off the Malay Peninsula's southern tip. Once a maritime emporium called Temasek, it entered its contemporary era in 1819, when Stamford Raffles set it up as an entrepôt trading post for the British Empire. Britain took direct control in 1867, Japan occupied the island in 1942, and Singapore became an independent country in 1965. It serves as a major hub for aviation, finance and maritime shipping.

Only one country has a higher population density than Singapore, yet urban planning has left it with numerous green and recreational spaces. The country is divided into hundreds of subzones, 55 planning areas and five regions. The Orchard Road district, with multi-story shopping centers and hotels, can be considered the center of shopping and tourism. Marina Bay Sands and the Merlion are among its well-known landmarks, and the Singapore Botanic Gardens were the country's first UNESCO World Heritage Site. These places lie in southern and eastern Singapore.

How tall do the Singapore landmarks print?

On the default 160 mm print they stand between about 4 and 79 mm tall. Each landmark grows with the print size, and Make this print opens the generator with its area already selected. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
