Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. A tall, narrow tower

The building is tall and narrow, so its long vertical faces and roofline carry the shape. Print slowly for the upper section and use 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers to keep the vertical lines sharp.

  2. Small openings on the facade

Rows of small openings shrink at model scale. Full detail keeps every modeled part; Print friendly adapts thin parts, and a larger print helps.

  3. One piece with the ground

Legacy at Millennium Park is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Legacy at Millennium Park takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About Legacy at Millennium Park

Legacy at Millennium Park is a skyscraper of 72 stories in Chicago, Illinois, on S. Wabash Avenue close to E. Monroe Street. It reaches a height of 251 m (822 ft). Solomon, Cordwell, Buenz designed the residential tower and its mixed-use podium, which holds 360 luxury condominiums and 460 parking spaces.

Its lower floors hold 41,000 sq ft (3,800 m²) of classroom space for the Art Institute of Chicago's school. The neighboring University Club has athletic facilities in the building, and a sky-bridge links the club to the podium. The tower also provides private amenities, among them an athletics and aquatic center and lounges. The design keeps the old masonry and terracotta fronts of the Jewelers Row District, a Chicago landmark, along Wabash Avenue. The tower's narrow shape is meant to give every residence a view toward Lake Michigan and Millennium Park. The building opened in 2010.
