  1. Walls, towers and rooflines

A castle has many small wall and roof details. Print it larger, or choose Full detail with a fine nozzle, to keep them; Print friendly adapts thin parts to a smaller print.

  2. One piece with the ground

Liechtenstein Castle (Maria Enzersdorf) is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Liechtenstein Castle (Maria Enzersdorf) takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About Liechtenstein Castle (Maria Enzersdorf)

Liechtenstein Castle, called Burg Liechtenstein in German, stands near Maria Enzersdorf in Lower Austria, on the border with Vienna. It lies on the edge of the Wienerwald, or Vienna Woods. The name means "bright stone" in German, and the castle is where the House of Liechtenstein, the family that rules the Principality of Liechtenstein, traces its origin and its ancestral seat.

Hugo von Liechtenstein built the castle between about 1122 and 1136 on land held as a fief from the Babenberg margraves of Austria. It began as a tower and was probably soon enlarged into a bigger palace complex during the 12th century. Ottoman forces destroyed it in 1529, during the siege of Vienna, and again in 1683, in the Battle of Vienna.

Prince Johann I Joseph of Liechtenstein purchased his ancestral seat again in 1808. The architect Joseph Hardtmuth carried out the first restoration measures between 1808 and 1816, yet the castle stayed in ruins until 1884, when Carl Gangolf Kayser rebuilt it for Johann II. The Nestroy Theatre Festival is held at the castle annually during the summer months.
