Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Tall tower, print slowly

The top of a tall tower is its thinnest part. Print friendly adapts thin parts to the print scale, Full detail suits larger prints, and printing slowly with cooling helps the top stay clean.

  2. One piece with the ground

Living Shangri-La is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Living Shangri-La takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About Living Shangri-La

In downtown Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, Living Shangri-La is a high-rise with mixed uses. The tower has 62 stories and stands 200.86 meters (659 ft) tall. A hotel and offices fill the first 15 floors, and condominium apartments occupy the rest of the tower, 307 residential units in all. A private roof garden sits on floor 61.

The podium holds a spa, an Urban Fare grocery store, a public display by the Vancouver Art Gallery and a public sculpture garden that is curated. The development deal included a $4.4 million restoration of the Coastal Church, which dates from 1919 and sits at the site's west end. In the 2010 film Tron: Legacy the building stands in for ENCOM International, a fictional company's headquarters.

Construction used concrete totaling 51,000 cubic meters (1,800,000 cu ft), plus 7,000 metric tons of reinforcing steel. At the busiest point, 1,000 workers were on site building one floor per week. The excavation reached 26 m (85 ft), a Vancouver record that beat the 23 m (75 ft) of One Wall Centre. On October 2, 2007, the tower officially took the title of Vancouver's tallest building. The total cost was near CA$350 million.

About this model

Living Shangri-La is one of more than 5,500 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Each model is written as code from public descriptions, plans, photographs and aerial views used only as references; no image or third-party model is copied into it. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. Rights in the building itself, its name and any brands on it are not granted by Mini Skyline; clear them separately before you sell prints. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
