  1. A larger print for the church

A larger print helps the church's details read at this scale. Layers of 0.12–0.16 mm keep the walls and edges crisp.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Ludwigskirche, Munich is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Ludwigskirche, Munich takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Ludwigskirche, Munich

The Ludwigskirche is Munich's monumental Neo-Romanesque church, formally St. Louis's Catholic parish and university church. The building's round arches, known as Rundbogenstil, strongly influenced church design, train stations and synagogues in Germany and the United States. Its altar fresco is described as the world's second-largest.

Friedrich von Gärtner built it from 1829 onward and completed it in 1844, with King Ludwig I of Bavaria as patron. It stands on the Ludwigstrasse's northern stretch, and its two-steepled facade balances the Theatinerkirche diagonally opposite. It measures 60 m in length and 20 m across, while the towers reach 71 meters.

Inside, Peter von Cornelius painted the Last Judgment fresco from 1836 to 1840; it measures 62 ft by 38 ft above the high altar. The roof was re-covered with its originally planned mosaic decoration between 2007 and 2009, and Romano Guardini's remains were moved to the church in 1997. Ludwig von Schwanthaler designed the sculpture group of the Four Evangelists and Jesus Christ.
