165 m of the Maastoren, 45 mm on your shelf
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Narrow tower, steady layers
A slender tower this tall benefits from slower printing and good cooling. A 0.12–0.16 mm layer height keeps the vertical edges clean.
- Facade detail at scale
At small print sizes the tower's surface detail can blur. Print friendly detail adapts it to the scale; choose Full detail for a larger print or a finer nozzle.
- One piece with the ground
The Maastoren is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Maastoren takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Maastoren
The Maastoren is an office tower beside the Nieuwe Maas in the Kop van Zuid neighborhood of Rotterdam, Netherlands. At 165 m (541 ft) it is the second tallest building in the country. It has 44 floors above ground and two below, and was built between 2006 and 2009 for the developer OVG.
Dam & Partners Architecten designed the building together with Odile Decq Benoit Cornette. Its mass splits into two main elements: one reaches 165 m (541 ft), while the other is slightly turned and around 105 m (344 ft) tall. It also has a glass extension.
The tower houses the Dutch headquarters of Deloitte and is also used by AKD. Its facade changes from dark gray at the base to silver white at the top; the upper panels use 22 shades of aluminum, a scheme meant to echo the horizon. A ten-floor parking garage forms part of the building.
About this model
The Maastoren is one of more than 4,400 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
