8 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Tall thin spire
A slender spire with a cross rises above the tower. Print friendly adapts thin parts to the print scale; Full detail keeps them on a larger print. Printing slowly helps tall thin tips.
- Pointed windows along the nave
Narrow pointed windows and small buttresses line the side wall. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm and a bigger print size keep them crisp.
- One piece with the ground
The Madonna Church, Fort Lee is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Madonna Church, Fort Lee takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Madonna Church, Fort Lee
Madonna Church, a Catholic church also named the Church of the Madonna, is in the borough of Fort Lee, Bergen County, New Jersey, on Hoefley's Lane. The Historic American Buildings Survey documented it in 1939. A Gothic Revival building, it was listed by the National Register of Historic Places in 1976 (April 8), citing its importance in architecture and religion.
Major John Berry of the British Army gave the land, part of an early grant beside the New Jersey Palisades, to Samuel Moore in 1726, and the Moore family held it until 1829. Jacob Riley then purchased it and began construction of the chapel, which Henry James Anderson completed in 1854. A rectory was added behind the church some years afterward.
Anderson, a layman and a convert to Catholicism, is called the most important individual in the early life of the church. His remains lie beneath the church floor, alongside his wife and son. He worked as a surgeon and taught astronomy and mathematics as a professor at New York City's Columbia College. He wrote scientific tracts and died suddenly on October 19, 1875, while gathering information for one in Hindustan, exploring the Himalayas.
