Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Slender portico columns

The entrance portico has a row of slender columns. A larger print keeps them from fusing; Print friendly adapts them on a small print, and 0.12 mm layers keep their edges clean.

  2. A skylight grid on the roof

A raised roof section carries a fine grid of skylight panes. Full detail keeps every pane on a large print, while Print friendly simplifies them at small sizes.

  3. One piece with the ground

The Montclair Art Museum is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Montclair Art Museum takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Montclair Art Museum

The Montclair Art Museum, or MAM, sits in the town of Montclair, Essex County, in New Jersey. Its collection of over 12,000 objects showcases American and Native North American art. On January 15, 1914, its doors opened, and at that time it was the state's first museum open to the public and its first devoted solely to art. It has been privately funded since. A listing in the National Register of Historic Places, made on November 14, 1986, recognizes the building's importance for art and architecture.

Trustee Michel Le Brun engaged the architect Albert R. Ross for a neoclassical design. Gifts from Florence Rand Lang, the museum's principal funder, paid for completing the front portico and mezzanine in 1924, and for an East Wing in 1931 that housed the Rand Collection. A new wing, added by Beyer Blinder Belle's renovation in 2000 and 2001, doubled the museum's floor area. On the circular lawn at the entrance stands a bronze sculpture, The Sun Vow, by Hermon Atkins MacNeil.

No other gallery anywhere is devoted entirely to the painter George Inness, a 19th-century American artist who made Montclair his home from 1885 until 1894. The Inness gallery shows pieces chosen from the museum's holdings of 21 Inness paintings, two watercolors and an etching. The museum is among a small number of US museums focused on American art and on Native American art.
