3 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Chimney on the ridge
A small chimney sits on the roof ridge. Print friendly adapts these small parts to the print scale; Full detail keeps them on a larger print.
- Exterior staircase and porches
Thin stair rails and small porch posts show on the sides. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm and a bigger print size keep them crisp.
- One piece with the ground
The Mount Vernon School, Chatham Township is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Mount Vernon School, Chatham Township takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Mount Vernon School, Chatham Township
The Mount Vernon School, also called the Chatham Red Brick Schoolhouse, is at 24 Southern Boulevard, in Chatham Township's Long Hill section, Morris County, New Jersey. The brick building has two stories, dates from 1860, and was built to serve School District No. 7 (Mount Vernon Washington).
Its two floors had different jobs: the first was used for teaching, and the second for Sunday school and church services. The school closed in 1929, once the new Southern Boulevard School had opened. A year later Elliott and Martha Averett bought it and ran it as a community center, and they gave it back to the township in 1956.
Following renovations, it served as the township's hall between 1958 and 1988, and since 1991 the Chatham Township Historical Society has operated it as a museum of local history. The National Register of Historic Places listed it on July 7, 2022, citing its significance in education, politics and government, and social history between 1860 and 1970.
