8 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- A long building on slim pillars
The long building is raised on a row of thin pillars. Print friendly adapts these supports to the print scale; Full detail keeps every pillar on a larger print or with a fine nozzle.
- A long curve with round drums
The building bends along the river and carries round drum shapes on its roof. Layers of 0.12–0.16 mm keep the curved edges smooth, and a larger print keeps the roof detail legible.
- One piece with the ground
Musée du quai Branly – Jacques Chirac is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Musée du quai Branly – Jacques Chirac takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Musée du quai Branly – Jacques Chirac
The Quai Branly museum, officially Musée du Quai Branly – Jacques Chirac, is an art museum in Paris's 7th arrondissement, on the Seine's left bank and not far from the Alma Bridge and the Eiffel Tower. French architect Jean Nouvel designed it. Its subject is the art and cultures of indigenous peoples from Oceania, Africa, Asia and the Americas. The collection holds more than a million objects, among them ethnographic objects, photographs and documents, of which 3,500 are on view at once. The museum opened in 2006.
Jacques Chirac brought the project to completion as president. A year after his election in 1995, he announced a museum combining the collections of the older MAAO, a museum of African and Oceanian arts, and the ethnology laboratory of the Musée de l'Homme. The site on Quai Branly covers 25,000 square meters, and an international competition held from early 1999 was won by Nouvel. Construction began at the start of 2001 and ended in 2005. The museum was inaugurated on June 20, 2006, and welcomed the public from June 23.
Nouvel took the neighbors' criticisms into account. The main building sits lower than its neighbors and is partly hidden by its gardens, its shape follows the Seine's curve, and three administrative buildings are meant to blend with neighboring Haussmann-period buildings. Inside, the galleries have no walls, barriers or railings, and nothing separates the four main geographic areas, so visitors can move from one continent to another. The Quai Branly of the name is a Seine quay named for the scientist Édouard Branly, and Jacques Chirac was added to the name in June 2016.
