About Neonopolis

A Downtown Las Vegas shopping center, Neonopolis stands on Fremont Street where it meets Las Vegas Boulevard. Its 23,000 m2 (250,000 sq ft) of space combine restaurants, entertainment venues and shops. True to its name, the complex has three miles of neon lights. The plan dates from December 1997, and the doors opened on May 3, 2002.

Prudential Real Estate sold the center in 2006 to a group of developers headed by Rohit Joshi, paying $25 million. Joshi tried a rebranding as Fremont Square, but the Neonopolis name was kept. After closing temporarily in 2010 for redevelopment, the center came back with new tenants following renovations in 2011.

Crown Theatres, a 14-screen movie theater, was the original anchor tenant when the center opened in 2002, and Jillian's, which combined a restaurant, a bar and entertainment over two stories, was another anchor. Jillian's closed in 2008, and the movie theater, by then Galaxy Theatres with 11 screens, closed in 2009. The Toy Shack moved in during 2011 to benefit from visitors who knew its owner from Pawn Stars, and Ultimate Sports Cards & Memorabilia followed in 2012 for a similar reason.

How it prints

Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

Landmark height and scale at three print sizes
Print size Landmark height Scale
160 mm default 9 mm 1:3,750
200 mm 11 mm 1:3,000
256 mm 14 mm 1:2,344

Rounded front of slender columns
The curved front is a framework of slender columns, rails and balconies. Print friendly adapts thin parts like these to the print scale; Full detail keeps them, which suits a larger print or a fine nozzle.
Large flat roofs
The roofs are broad and flat, with a regular grid of panels on the walls. A larger print size keeps the small details, and layers of 0.12–0.16 mm help the grid stay crisp.
One piece with the ground
Neonopolis is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Neonopolis takes the building color.
File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About this model

Neonopolis is one of more than 2,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.

Common questions

Is there a Neonopolis STL I can download?

Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.

How big can I print it?

Any print size from 40 mm across. Neonopolis grows with the print: about 9 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.

Is it free?

Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
