Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Roofline and wall corners

At small sizes the roofline and wall corners carry the palace's shape. Use 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers, and print larger if you want those edges to stay crisp.

  2. One piece with the ground

The New Palace, Stuttgart is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The New Palace, Stuttgart takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the New Palace, Stuttgart

The New Palace is an 18th-century Baroque palace on the Schlossplatz in Stuttgart. It is among the last of southern Germany's large city palaces and stands in front of the Königsbau and the Jubiläumssäule column. For a time it was the residence of Württemberg's kings. The building contains government offices, so public tours are allowed only by special arrangement.

Duke Carl Eugen of Württemberg commissioned the palace to replace the Old Castle early in his reign. He originally commissioned Nikolaus Friedrich Thouret, while Leopoldo Retti, Philippe de La Guêpière, and Reinhard Heinrich Ferdinand Fischer contributed to its design and construction. The cornerstone was laid on September 3, 1746. World War II bombing left only a shell of the palace, and in 1957 the Baden-Württemberg Landtag agreed to rebuild it, by one vote.

Reconstruction began in 1958 under Horst Linde. The palace has served the state government since then, beginning with the Corps de logis and the two wings, and the state finance and education ministries occupy it. The air raid shelter beneath the building was the only part not fully restored; it was demolished in 1958.
