9 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Ribbed dome
The dome has fine ribs on a smooth curve. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm keeps the curve and ribs clean.
- Columns and window frames
Columns and window frames cover the walls on all four sides. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale; Full detail keeps them on a larger print.
- One piece with the ground
Newark City Hall is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Newark City Hall takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Newark City Hall
Newark City Hall sits at Government Center in Newark, in New Jersey's Essex County. It dates from 1902, and on February 17, 1978, it joined the National Register of Historic Places. The five-story Beaux Arts building has a golden dome, and John H. & Wilson C. Ely are listed as its architects. Construction cost $2.6 million.
Inside are carved marble, a grand staircase at the center, skylights of stained glass, plaster decoration and wrought ironwork. In 1986 the developer Harry Grant paid to cover the dome in 24 carat gold. A renovation in 2006 cost $18 million.
