Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Chimneys and window detail

The facade has small chimneys, entrance details and window recesses. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale; Full detail or a larger print keeps more. A layer height of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keeps them crisp.

  2. One piece with the ground

The North Main Street School is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The North Main Street School takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the North Main Street School

The North Main Street School stands in Spring Valley, New York, on North Main Street, which is also New York State Route 45. It sits on a lot of 2.5 acres (1.0 ha) on the west side of the street, about half a mile (1 km) north of downtown, at the corner with Linden Avenue. Mature trees and a sidewalk border a wide lawn along the front, and parking fills the south and west sides.

The Colonial Revival building is square-shaped, two stories tall and built of brick, around an enclosed courtyard. The facade has a slightly projecting central pavilion, and wings extend west from the north and south ends of the main block. The brick is laid in Flemish bond, and quoins mark the outer corners. It was built in the early 20th century as the local school population grew rapidly.

The school was enlarged several times and remained a working school through the 1970s. It survives intact, and counts among the early modern schools of the region. Plans to tear it down in the mid-1980s drew widespread public opposition; the building later found a new use as a Rockland Community College satellite campus. Its National Register of Historic Places listing dates from 2008.
