37 m of the Old Synagogue (Essen), 11 mm on your shelf
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Roofs and small details
Print friendly adapts small details to the print scale, while Full detail keeps every modeled feature. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm keeps fine vertical detail crisp, and a larger print keeps more of it.
- One piece with the ground
The Old Synagogue (Essen) is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Old Synagogue (Essen) takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Old Synagogue (Essen)
The Old Synagogue is a former Reform Jewish synagogue in Essen, Germany, with the address Steeler Straße 29. Edmund Körner designed it as a large stone building in Byzantine style, crowned with a copper dome, and its inauguration, as the Neue Synagoge, took place on September 25, 1913. Rabbi Salomon Samuel wanted a large new synagogue in the heart of the city to show how important Judaism was in German society. It measured 230 feet (70m) front to back, with a dome reaching 112 feet (37m). Its main hall had room for over 1,500 people.
Fire set on Kristallnacht, November 9–10, 1938, destroyed the interior, though the exterior stayed nearly intact. The building survived World War II without further damage. In 1960 it became a museum of industrial design, and a full reconstruction took place between 1986 and 1988, with plain plaster in place of the original blue mosaic on the dome. In 1988 the city council chose to make it both a memorial and a house for Jewish culture, and the building officially reopened on July 13, 2010.
