Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Tall spire, fine layers

The spire rises well above the rest of the hall. Use 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers and print a little slower, so the narrow top stays clean.

  2. Keep the outline crisp

A larger print keeps the hall's outline and roofline readable. Keep Full detail if you print big enough for the spire and facade details.

  3. One piece with the ground

The Old Town Hall, Munich is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Old Town Hall, Munich takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Old Town Hall, Munich

Munich's Marienplatz is bounded on its east side by the Old Town Hall, in Bavaria, Germany. The hall housed the municipality until 1874 and has a representative role for the city council. It first appears in records in 1310, and builders added the Grand Hall in 1392/1394. The spire is the old Talburg Gate from the first city wall.

The architect Jörg von Halsbach re-designed the hall in late-Gothic style between 1470 and 1480. Erasmus Grasser's Morris dancers decorate the Grand Hall. Renaissance and Baroque alterations changed the facade before the building received a neo-Gothic restoration between 1861 and 1864. The municipality left for the New Town Hall in 1874.

In 1877 a vehicle tunnel and a separate pedestrian passage were cut through it, and another tunnel followed in 1934/35, destroying the original ground floor. World War II left it severely damaged. The spire was rebuilt in 1971–1974. Statues of Ludwig the Bavarian on the west facade and Henry the Lion on the east facade, along with the gable design, are among the preserved neo-Gothic elements.
