13 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Turreted dome
A turreted dome rises above a compact nave. Print friendly detail adapts the thin turret and the dome edges to the print scale; Full detail keeps them for a larger print.
- Tight city block
Surrounding buildings press close to the church, leaving the front as the clearest view. A larger print helps the dome and the facade read clearly.
- One piece with the ground
The Peterskirche, Vienna is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Peterskirche, Vienna takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Peterskirche, Vienna
The Peterskirche is a parish church in Vienna, Roman Catholic and Baroque in style. It stands on Petersplatz, beside the Graben and a little west of the Pestsäule. Neighboring buildings hide most of it, so the front is the only clear view. In 1970 the archbishop, Franz Cardinal König, handed it to priests of Opus Dei.
The first mention of a church of Saint Peter here dates to 1137. Fire destroyed the old building in 1661, and only makeshift repairs followed. When the Fraternity of the Holy Trinity arrived, the decision to rebuild was taken up, and Emperor Leopold I, a member, had vowed to rebuild the church when plague ravaged Vienna in 1679–1680.
Work on the new Baroque church started around 1701 under Gabriele Montani, whom Johann Lukas von Hildebrandt replaced in 1703. Francesco Martinelli served as main architect; St. Peter's Basilica in Rome inspired the design. Consecration came in 1733, and this was Baroque Vienna's first domed church. Gold stucco is abundant in the oval interior, while Matthias Steinl was chiefly responsible for the turreted dome.
