64 m of the Petřín Lookout Tower, 17 mm on your shelf
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- A slender steel frame
The tower is mostly thin steel members, so print it larger and slowly, with 0.12–0.16 mm layers, to keep the frame and the top platform crisp.
- One piece with the ground
The Petřín Lookout Tower is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Petřín Lookout Tower takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Petřín Lookout Tower
The Petřín Lookout Tower stands on Petřín Hill in Prague and is 63.5 m (208 ft) tall, a steel framework built in 1891. It has an octagonal rather than a square cross-section, and it does not stand on four separate lattice legs like the Eiffel Tower it is often said to resemble: the whole area beneath the tower is covered by the entrance hall. Its lowest cross beams, shaped like round bones, echo the Paris tower's design.
A group from the Club of Czech Tourists saw the Eiffel Tower at the Paris world exposition in 1889 and were inspired by it. They collected enough money to begin work in March 1891 for the World's Jubilee Exhibition, and the tower was finished in only four months. It served as an observation tower and as a transmission tower. In 1953 a television transmitter went into the tower and carried Prague's television signal until the Žižkov Television Tower opened in late 1992.
The two observation platforms are reached by 299 stairs set in flights of 13 that run around the inside of the structure, and a pair of staircases forms a double helix so that visitors can climb and descend at the same time. An elevator serves elderly and disabled visitors, and a frequent Petřín funicular carries people up the hill. A small cafeteria and a gift shop sit on the main level, with a small exhibition area on the lowest level.
About this model
The Petřín Lookout Tower is one of more than 4,400 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
