188 m of Place Ville Marie, 50 mm on your shelf
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Tall tower with a rooftop top
A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm keeps vertical detail crisp, and printing slowly with good cooling helps the top of a tall tower. Choose Full detail at larger sizes to keep small rooftop details.
- One piece with the ground
Place Ville Marie is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Place Ville Marie takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Place Ville Marie
Place Ville Marie is an office and shopping complex in Downtown Montreal, Quebec, Canada, with an underground shopping plaza and four office buildings. The main building, known as 1 Place Ville Marie, dates from 1962 and was built in the International style to serve as the Royal Bank of Canada's headquarters. It is a cruciform office tower, 188 m (617 ft) high, with 47 storeys. Henry N. Cobb designed it, and it was one of his first built projects.
While it was being built, the main tower was called the Commonwealth's tallest skyscraper, and the third tallest anywhere outside the United States. Late in the project, extra height equal to three floors was added so that the neighboring Tour CIBC, built at the same time, would not top it. Most of the building stands over railway tracks, which required it to resist vibrations more than usual, making it Montreal's most earthquake-resistant office tower.
Four shorter office buildings were added around the tower in 1963 and 1964. The complex is a hub of Montreal's Underground City, described as the world's busiest. At night a beacon on the roof turns counter-clockwise, sending out up to four white horizontal beams visible from as far as 50 kilometers (31 mi) away.
About this model
Place Ville Marie is one of more than 5,500 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Each model is written as code from public descriptions, plans, photographs and aerial views used only as references; no image or third-party model is copied into it. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. Rights in the building itself, its name and any brands on it are not granted by Mini Skyline; clear them separately before you sell prints. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
