Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Pinnacles and buttresses

Neo-Gothic churches often have small pinnacles and buttresses, which are fine details at print scale. Choose "Print friendly" for a small print, or a larger size with "Full detail" and a layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Saint-Germain Cathedral is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Saint-Germain Cathedral takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Saint-Germain Cathedral

In Rimouski, Quebec, the Saint-Germain Cathedral serves as the mother church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Rimouski. Jean Langevin, the first bishop of Rimouski, raised it to cathedral status on January 15, 1867. On May 6, 1950, the "nuit rouge" fire, which began at the Price Brothers Company sawmill, burned down nearly half the town, but the cathedral was spared.

The outside shows neo-Gothic influence: its windows have pointed arches filled with stained glass, and it has buttresses and pinnacles. Gray stone was used for the exterior. Inside, the ceiling resembles a diagonal rib vault. Its main vault reaches 28 m (90 ft). In 1891 three bells were installed, weighing 1,641 kg altogether. Its Casavant Frères organ is well known.

About this model

The Saint-Germain Cathedral is one of more than 5,500 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Each model is written as code from public descriptions, plans, photographs and aerial views used only as references; no image or third-party model is copied into it. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. Rights in the building itself, its name and any brands on it are not granted by Mini Skyline; clear them separately before you sell prints. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
