About Santa Rita Hall

Santa Rita Hall (also known as Santa Rita Center) is a hall belonging to a church, located where 10th Street meets Hadley Roads in Phoenix. Three church halls grew out of the Historic Sacred Heart Church's three chapels, and this is one of them. In October 2007 the Phoenix Historic Property Register added it, and that register's eligibility criteria match those of the National Register of Historic Places.

Father Albert Braun held that the Church should reach out to its people, and he began building chapels in the southern and eastern parts of the Sacred Heart Parish. Building work on Santa Rita started on November 20, 1956, and wrapped up in 1957. Community events sponsored by the parish took place there, among them the Southside Catholic Youth Center, a self-help program.

From the late 1960s, in step with the civil rights movement, the hall was a focal point for the Chicano Movement. Chicanos Por La Causa was incorporated at Santa Rita in April 1969, and groups tied to the hall organized a boycott aimed at the Phoenix Union High School District, running from October 9 to November 2, 1970. In 1972 the hall drew national attention during the 24-Day Fast for Justice held by Cesar Chavez. Chicanos Por La Causa bought the hall in 2004 for $71,000.

How it prints

Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

Plain gabled hall
This is a simple brick-patterned hall under a steep gable roof. At small print sizes the wall pattern may blur; Full detail on a larger print keeps it, while Print friendly simplifies it.
One piece with the ground
Santa Rita Hall is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Santa Rita Hall takes the building color.
File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

Common questions

Is there a Santa Rita Hall STL I can download?

Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.

How big can I print it?

Any print size from 40 mm across. Santa Rita Hall grows with the print: about 1 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.

Is it free?

Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
