Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. A long, low block

The hotel spreads across a long block instead of rising, so the roofline runs unbroken for most of the model and carries what a printer can show. A larger print and layers of 0.12–0.16 mm keep those long edges crisp.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Savoy Hotel is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Savoy Hotel takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Savoy Hotel

The Savoy Hotel, a luxury hotel on the Strand in central London, within the City of Westminster, was the work of the impresario Richard D'Oyly Carte, who paid for it out of the profits of his Gilbert and Sullivan opera productions, and it opened on August 6, 1889. It was the first hotel of the Savoy group, which his family owned for over a century. Thomas Edward Collcutt designed it, and the work took five years.

The hotel was a showcase for new technology: it was Britain's first hotel to fit electric lights throughout, electric lifts, bathrooms in most rooms and constant hot and cold water, among other innovations. To run it, Carte hired César Ritz as manager and Auguste Escoffier as chef de cuisine, and the pair set a higher standard for service, entertainment and dining in London, drawing royalty and an international political, social and business clientele.

Its house bands, the Savoy Havana Band and the Savoy Orpheans, became famous, and performers and guests have included Noël Coward, Frank Sinatra and the Beatles, with Edward VII, Oscar Wilde and Charlie Chaplin among the many others. Winston Churchill frequently lunched there with his cabinet. Fairmont Hotels and Resorts runs the hotel, which is a Grade II listed building and has been described as "London's most famous hotel".
