90 m of Segovia Cathedral, 25 mm on your shelf
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Pinnacles and a tall tower
The roofline carries many thin pinnacles beside a tall tower with a domed top. Print friendly adapts the thinnest ones to the print scale, while Full detail keeps them on larger prints. Printing slowly helps the tower.
- Buttresses and arched windows
Many buttresses and arched windows cover the walls. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep this fine vertical detail crisp, and a larger print size keeps more of it.
- One piece with the ground
Segovia Cathedral is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Segovia Cathedral takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Segovia Cathedral
Segovia Cathedral is a Roman Catholic church in the Spanish city of Segovia and the seat of the Segovia diocese. Its dedications are to the Virgin Mary's Assumption and to Saint Fructus. Built in the Flamboyant style, it counts as one of the latest Gothic cathedrals built in Europe, and its interior is late Gothic.
The Revolt of the Comuneros brought the destruction of an earlier cathedral that had stood next to the Alcazar. Charles V ordered a replacement in a completely different place, on a site that took in a convent and part of the Jewish quarter. Juan Gil de Hontañón was the architect, and building began with a first stone laid on June 8, 1525. Some remains of the old cathedral, including the cloister, were reused to reduce costs. Work went on in three stages, from 1525 to 1557, from 1578 to 1607, and from 1607 to 1685.
Inside are three high naves and an ambulatory, windows with fine tracery, and many stained glass windows. The Gothic vaults reach 30 meters in height and span 50 meters in width and 109 meters in length. The tower reaches almost 90 meters. Its first spire was made of American mahogany wood, and the present stone spire was built in 1614 after lightning caused a fire.
