About Sky Las Vegas
Sky Las Vegas rises 45 stories and holds 409 luxury condominium units. Its 3-acre (1.2 ha) site is in Winchester, Nevada, on the Las Vegas Strip. Klai Juba Architects designed the project, the contractor in charge was M.J. Dean, and the build cost $325 million. The tower opened in May 2007 as the first condominium high-rise on the Las Vegas Strip.
A two-story retail project of 5,100 m2 (55,000 sq ft), called the Boulevard Collection, had been planned for the property in 2001, but it did not materialize. Nevada Development Partners bought the vacant property in March 2004 for $13.5 million. In July 2004 the plan for Sky Las Vegas was made public, as a tower of 40 stories and 350 units.
Crews poured the foundation in September 2005. By January 2006, construction had reached the 19th floor, with another floor going up about every four days. A topping out party took place in September 2006. Above the penthouses, the top three floors hold four residences called SkySuites. Every one spans three stories, has four bedrooms and five bathrooms, and measures 460 m2 (5,000 sq ft).
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
| Print size | Landmark height | Scale |
|---|---|---|
| 160 mm default | 41 mm | 1:3,750 |
| 200 mm | 51 mm | 1:3,000 |

- Slim tower, balcony ledges
- The tower is tall and slim, with a thin ledge at every floor. Print slowly with good cooling, keep layers at 0.12–0.16 mm so the ledges stay crisp, and use a larger print size for a sturdier tower.
- A stepped crown
- The top steps up in small blocks and fins. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale, while Full detail keeps them on a larger print.
- One piece with the ground
- Sky Las Vegas is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Sky Las Vegas takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About this model
Sky Las Vegas is one of more than 2,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
Common questions
Is there a Sky Las Vegas STL I can download?
Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How big can I print it?
Any print size from 40 mm across. Sky Las Vegas grows with the print: about 41 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
Is it free?
Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
