About Turnberry Towers
Turnberry Towers is a condominium complex of two towers in Winchester, Nevada, close to the Las Vegas Strip. Each tower has 45 stories and 318 units, and each stands 453 feet (138 m). Their site, at Paradise Road and Karen Avenue, was behind the Sahara, a hotel-casino on the Strip.
The project went through several plans. Stark Properties announced Great Masters in 1998, a $300 million project of twin 56-story towers. In 2000 Turnberry Associates bought the land and planned Madison Towers, a $250 million complex of two 25-story towers. Construction was delayed by poor economic conditions after the September 11 attacks, and as conditions improved the project was redesigned larger and renamed Turnberry Towers.
Robert M. Swedroe Architects designed it. The general contractor was Turnberry Place Construction, and work on the first tower started in June 2005. The East Tower was finished in 2007, and the West Tower, topped off in June 2007, was completed in 2008. Each tower was to have its own pool and a fitness center of 2,500 sq ft (230 m2).
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
| Print size | Landmark height | Scale |
|---|---|---|
| 160 mm default | 38 mm | 1:3,750 |
| 200 mm | 47 mm | 1:3,000 |

- Two tall, curved towers
- Two tall towers with curved fronts stand apart behind a long low block. Print slowly with cooling for the upper floors, and use a larger print size to keep the towers sturdy.
- Fine balcony lines
- The towers carry many narrow horizontal bands. A layer height of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keeps them crisp, and Print friendly adapts the small rooftop parts.
- One piece with the ground
- Turnberry Towers is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Turnberry Towers takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About this model
Turnberry Towers is one of more than 2,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
Common questions
Is there a Turnberry Towers STL I can download?
Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How big can I print it?
Any print size from 40 mm across. Turnberry Towers grows with the print: about 38 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
Is it free?
Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
